Every time I see a morning when the sun is on the rise
I thank God for giving me another day
Then I thank Him once again for the right to pray to Him
Because some nations tell you how you must pray
Every time I see my children they don’t seem to have a care
When no fear or worry troubles their sweet face
They will never die of hunger they will never be a slave
They don’t have to wish they lived another way…
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU
Even though we have no clue unless we’ve marched a mile in your boots…
How much you have to do to defend what we hold true
Lord knows there is so much you stand to lose…

It’s easy to forget… our freedom isn’t free
It’s a price that’s paid in full with blood…
Sacrifices made no one will ever see
And the private hell that lingers on…
Your duty is your honor not thinking about the dollar
Even though some people think it’s wrong…
I would like to thank you after all that you’ve been through
For raising your head to face another day
There is nothing we can do to ever repay you
For the sacrifices all of you have made
We would like to thank you even though we have no clue
Unless we’ve marched a mile in your boots
